Display either categories or galleries
When you first open your SmugMug account, having too many galleries to show on your SmugMug homepage is not a problem. Therefore, SmugMug lists them by title, with a thumbnail photo for each one.
When SmugMug addiction takes hold and you create, say, 100 galleries, your homepage will become looong and slooooow for dial-up users to load. The solution is to display your galleries by category.
Categories may contain many galleries.
When you're logged in, your home page will display the option to display by galleries or categories.
Click categories and we'll show only categories on your SmugMug homepage with a thumbnail by each category that comes from the first gallery in each category.
Arranging galleries
By default, SmugMug sorts your galleries by most recent and displays recently added-to galleries first. You can sort them in a different order by clicking the Position link.
You'll see those words change so that you now have an arrange link. Click it.
Now you can scoot your galleries into the order you'd like. Just click on any gallery image. It will highlight in red. Now use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move it. Click update. That's all there is to it.
